While I've always been impressed with the power and adrenaline of rodeos, I also consider bull riding to be a form of animal cruelty. So, whenever confronted with this event, I've decided instead to make pictures from behind the scenes: cowboys stretching, security staring, sound-systems blaring, and the burly monoculture that I find amusing. All photos are made with a 35mm-film camera.
